Stop Dieting—Start Healthy Eating Habits
"Hey guess what, did you hear about the latest diet? It’s supposed to be so
easy, and it helps lose weight fast and you’ll look fabulous really soon!" This is
just what you needed and you’re salivating to hear more about it and get that diet
now! Does this sound familiar—kind of like every other week or maybe even
every other day? This is what many of us are exposed to, especially for devoted
or obsessed dieters. Everyone is interested in trying the next promising diet—
only to find out that it just didn’t work and that’s why we need the next one to be
“the one!”
Could it be possible that despite searching for that perfect diet, we’re trying too
hard and are forgetting that there might be another solution to looking great?
How about feeling great first? It’s time to clean up shop and stop all the dieting.
Instead to try something regular, more promising, and long term—healthful
eating habits. OK, you probably think it sounds boring, painful and impossible—
but consider that it might make you start feeling good for longer than 2 days or a
week! Here’s the best part, after you start practicing healthy habits and start
feeling healthier, with time you might start looking great and stay looking
amazing!
Add in regular exercise with that, and you will see changes. So it all sounds
really fantastic and promising but, wait…it won’t be as easy as you think
because there is one big investment package needed to do this, and that is time
and patience. Those are things we may not be used to being former die-hard
dieters. Ex-dieters need to be mentally ready for this challenge, and the best
way to get there is to let time take its course and be prepared to see very small,
gradual changes.
Unless you are able to get into that mind set, it won’t work. If you do commit to
this mental preparation and focus and you won’t give up, you can be successful
in building a lifestyle of healthy eating habits and an overall healthy lifestyle.
