strategies

Getting a healthful eating plan together and understanding how to
implement it as a continuous healthful strategy is the goal.  However,
achieving that on a daily basis can be difficult and demanding given
everything we go through and have to do on a typical day!

Do some of these scenerios sound familiar?

You're single and have your own place.  You've had a long, stressful day at
work and just want to go home.  You're starving hungry as you drive home,
and cooking something for dinner is just not going to happen.  So you end
up either stopping at a fast food place, bringing home take out, ordering
takeout as soon as you get home, or just eat whatever comes to mind that
you have in the house.

You and your spouse both work all day, come back home after a long
commute and busy day, and you both look at each other wondering what to
eat for dinner, let alone who is going to cook it.  Not to mention, you have
growing kids and teenagers to talk to about their day, activities to take
them to, their homework schedules, etc.,etc.!  Not to mention, growing and
teenage kids get hungry fast and are hungry all the time!

You're a busy Mom and by the time you get home from work,  you're tired!
However, you still have to manage the kids and their homework, or take
them to activities, take care of the mail, make sure pets are taken care of,
and attend to any very pending household chores,
and you have to put a
healthy meal on the table for the family?

You're a college student and you and your roommate take turns cooking.
You're both totally busy just trying to study and manage your courses, and
keeping up with cooking is really starting to get on your nerves.

You just don't cook.  It's too time consuming and it can be a chore. Finding
someone else to isn't always an option.  You eat out a lot or pick up ready
made things because of this.

You're a stay at home Mom and your kids and their activities take up most
of your day and cooking healthy meals just doesn't always happen.

You're a new Mom, and can't remember the last time you slept well, let
alone got a chance to think.  Even if you want to cook something healthy it's
a big challenge since your husband gets home late, you can't always get to
the grocery store, and you're on your own to take care of the baby or little
ones, so getting a decent let alone healthy dinner on the table every
evening is a tall order, not to mention a tiring, monotonous, drudgery.

The above situation except Mom and Dad are working parents and come
home with tired and cranky babies and kids from daycare.

The above but Mom or Dad are single parents with little ones.

You and your husband are elderly and sometimes have health issues,
which makes it hard to cook something healthy for each meal.

You are elderly and living alone and find it challenging to practice healthy
eating habits on a daily basis.

If any of these situations sound familiar,
you're not alone. These are the realities
of everyday living that most of us live!
This is why we need to have healthful eating habit
strategies in place that will try to work
in these everyday busy, demanding,
time constrained lifestyles.
